Idaho Hill Fun Reading Activities

This year the staff at Idaho Hill will be  encouraging students to read more. We have started our first Reading Theme of the year. Catch the Reading Bug!!! Students are required to read a certain amount of books by the end of the quarter. This depends on the grade level on the requirements. If they reach their goal they will get to see the movie It's a Bugs Life. Rewards will be handed out throughout the month as incentives to keep reading.

After School Art

After School Art will take place once again. Forms will be sent home each month there is an art project taking place. Class size is limited and is filled on a first come first serve basis.

October 20        Leaf rubbings and framing

November 24    Sand Art

February 16        Party Masks

March 23            Water color painting

April 20                Japanese Carp Kite

May 18                 Rock painting with acrylic paint

PTO

This years PTO is in the process of ordering the schools T- shirts. Order forms will be sent home and you will be able to order at the Open House on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009.                                              

I would also like to announce that Jenny Barwise is the president of the PTO, Pam Arnett is our Vice President, Pam Davaz is our Secretary, and last but not least Tina Campbell is our Treasurer.  New officers will be elected in October 2009.

The PTO made some big changes around the school the summer of 2007 such as the new water fountain on the playground, They also have new equipment for the kids to play on. In the summer of 2008  the pavement on the playground was  sealed. PTO purchased cameras to monitor the playground at all times. Signs have been purchased and placed on the grounds.
